Adidas Stanzonian AT

The last pair of golf shoes I had were Brady shell toes. The tip of the toe started peeling off a while ago so they were being held together with shoo goo. More recently, the sole started peeling off on the side so I decided to ditch them. I ended up grabbing the black/grass Stanzonian AT's off ebay for $30. Pretty happy with them so far.

Creager

This is old from Rob Brink. Backside tailslide bigger spin out. Crazy. I wonder how his golf game is coming along. Phoenix is an amazing area to bang balls.

Skateboarders Helping Haiti

I saw this at Skate and Annoy and thought I would help spread the word.

St-Nicolas, Qc January 18th 2010 –In an attempt to come to the aid of the people who are suffering in Haiti in the aftermath of a violent earthquake that brought death and destruction to the country last week we have decided to release a special edition skateboard. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these boards will go to the people of Haiti via the Canadian Red Cross – Quebec division, c/o Fabienne Laisné, 6, Place du Commerce, Verdun (Quebec) H3E 1P4. This board will go on sale across Canada within the next 2 weeks. This board is made out of 100% hardrock Canadian maple at the Control Manufacture in St-Nicolas Qc Canada. The project however is from our sales team. We will use all the contacts we have built over the last 15 years to reach out to all shops, brands and skaters accross Europe, Canada, USA and South America that currently buy boards from us.

Not a penny will be kept of the proceeds, everything we make is going to Haiti.

When I saw the desperation in Haiti I didn’t know what to do to help… finally I decided to help the only way I knew how: selling skateboards” said Dan Saindon, Sales Manager at Control MFG.

“We are very excited to be part of this project and we will do all we can to make this a success” added Fabienne Laisné from the Red Cross.

Control MFG is a leader in the skateboarding manufacturing business. We are specialized in high end skateboards and have been in operation since 1995. We will post a complete list of shops carrying the boards in the next few weeks.

The Canadian Red Cross Society is a non-profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world.

We also encorage you to make a direct donation to the Red Cross. Here is the toll free number: (800) 363-7305

The Canadian government will be matching all charitable donations to Haiti relief up to $50,000,000.

Style for Miles

Kenny Anderson 5-0ing under Chris Miller's frontside air. I had that G&S Chris Miller board as well. Mine was blue and I got it on sale at Surfside on Bank Street in Ottawa. It was on discount because he had just switched to Schmitt Stix. Image from the new Wallride (#19) catalog of Crailtap family products.

Recycled wheels

This is interesting. Using the cores of old wheels to make new ones. Pretty slick idea from Satori wheels. Click on the above pic for the full explanation. I wonder if it matters if you get a set of recycled wheels where the recycled cores have different spacer distance (space between bearings) or hardness.

Switch Heel

Pretty ridiculous. The ender of this clip is the footage of Chad Dickson's switch heel down Logan's Double Set, which the kids these days refer to as Black Ice or Black Double. Interview here.

DGK Josh Kalis Abduction

Limited edition (300) DGK Kalis Abduction board graphic. Stoked on Alien and psyched on Kalis... this graphic is just too funny. This bro cam video is old Ryan Gee filmed footage of Kalis and a bunch of other guys back in the day. Pretty cool to see Kalis posting on the Slap Message Boards.
