HBO - The Get By

I saw links to this the past few days but didn't think I would be able to watch it in Canada (for those that don't know, lots of videos at American TV network websites won't play in Canada). Turns out I was wrong. Pretty sick, especially the Jahmal Williams footage. Nice to see some Gino and Pops, even though they're mostly just cruising around. Make sure you also check out the Jahmal interview here.

Pidgeon Pose

Thought this pic from Crailtap was kinda funny. The caption says "A.V.E. demonstrating proper stretching techniques to Guy and Omar." It looks like he's trying to get Guy into a pidgeon pose, which has been a part of my daily stretching routine for years. Feels amazing.

Wing Ko

An interview with Wing Ko, the dude who probably edited and/or filmed one of your favourite video parts from the 90's.

I didn't know he did this Flip 411 Industry section that contains the epic Tom Penny line

and you gotta love this amazing intro to the 101 section of Trilogy.

Javier Sarmiento

Psyched this guy has a board sponsor once again. I'm not a huge fan of Sk8Mafia but the fact that they are hooking him up makes me want to support them.

Real Jim Thiebaud 2

This was Thiebaud's 2nd graphic on Real. I skated many of his first Real model and liked every one of them. I had one of these ones and hated it. The shape seemed weird, the nose was too spoony and I just never got along with it. Regardless, the graphic was awesome. Image from ebay, sold for 615.47.

Plan B new wood

Several weeks ago, Colin McKay was featured on YWS's web chat. He talked about Plan B decks and how in the near future, they were going to be pressed by a new woodshop. The word on the web was they ditched Syndrome for NHS. Just last week, it was announced that their new distributor is Branch Distribution, which is under the Billabong umbrella with Element. There's an interview with a vp of some sort here. Plan B decks pressed by PS Stix is a nice upgrade. I suppose it'll be nice to support some of their riders like PJ Ladd. Regardless, their art department is pretty weak... but then again, I can't remember that last time I bought a board because of the graphics. Image from CBI.

Bogey Pro Apparel

While perusing Chapeau Noir Golf (don't ask me why I was visiting a golf clothes etiquette blog), I ran across an article on the PGA Merchandise Show. I saw a link to Bogey Pro, a golf clothing company that sponsored a kegger at the show. How awesome is that?! They have some funny screened shirts.

The third person critiquing that happens over at Chapeau Noir Golf is definitely entertaining.

Winter golf

What can I say... it's the middle of the winter up here in Canada. I don't really golf from the start of December to mid March, which is Vancouver's cold rain season. I'll maybe hit the driving range on occasion. This winter has been particularly strange. It's been sunnier and warmer than normal. I'll be playing my 5th round of 2010 this weekend! Vancouver IS awesome! I've also been skating a bunch the past few weeks. I set up a new board last weekend... Alien team model. There are no markings on it as to where it was pressed or by who. Regardless, the shape is good, concave feels good and so far, it's holding up. Image from here.
